HIGH POINT — Canadian Wood, a British Columbia-based expert in sustainable softwoods, has renewed its Corporate Partner sponsorship with the International Society of Furniture Designers.

During the upcoming spring High Point Market, furniture designers will have the opportunity to explore the potential of British Columbia softwoods at the Canadian Wood Showroom & Information Center. Located on the sixth floor of the historic Radio Building at Commerce Avenue and Main Street, the showroom will showcase a range of wood products and provide insight into the benefits of Western hemlock and Douglas fir.

Canadian Wood promotes the use of environmentally friendly forest products from British Columbia, offering furniture designers and manufacturers resources on working with sustainable wood. Western hemlock and Douglas fir are woods valued for their durability, versatility and natural aesthetics, making them suitable alternatives to traditional hardwoods.

“We are grateful for the information and expertise that Canadian Wood has made available to our members,” said David Blair, ISFD executive director. “ISFD is always looking to partner with innovative companies and organizations whose products and services provide real benefits to professional furniture designers.”

Through its corporate partner program, ISFD connects designers with industry resources via its website, newsletters and in-person events.
